What Cue Installation

Here are the simplified install instructions for getting What Cue working on your show.

You need to have the following hardware.

  1. An Apple Mac.
  2. If you don’t have a Grand MA Console you’ll need a USB to Midi Adapter – I recommend the ESI Midi Mate 2 -
  3. A Wireless Network
  4. iPhone or iPod Touch

Installing on the Mac

  1. Download and Install What Cue from www.whatcue.com on your Mac.
  2. Plug the Midi Adapter in your Mac and the other end into the Desk.
  3. Configure the desk for Midi Show Control Output.

Install What Cue on the iPhone

  1. Get onto the App Store.
  2. Search for What Cue (or click this link).
  3. Download and install – the iPhone app is free.

Final Steps

  1. Load the cue list into What Cue Mac App.(Tutorial is here)
  2. Make sure the Mac and the iPhone are on the same wireless networks
  3. If the Main program is running the mac then when you launch on the phone it should connect automatically.
